BIO1000 Aqueous Cleaner & Degreaser

BIO1000 is a “people-safe” and “food-safe” product. No emergency or first aid procedures are required when contacted with the solution except on the eyes. In this case, immediate flushing of the affected eye with water would be sufficient remedy. No special equipment or protection devices are needed when handling or storing BIO1000.

BIO1000 is :
·   non-hazardous
·   non-flammable
·   non-toxic
·   non-explosive
·   non-fuming
·   non-caustic
·   safe on all materials that is compatible with water

Ecologically Safe

BIO1000 is ecologically safe and may be used on hard, soft, or salt water. It contains no phosphates, nitrates, NTA, enzymes, sulfates, sulfonates, caustics, chlorinated solvents or other known pollutants.

Biodegradable

BIO1000 is readily biodegradable.

Food Safe

BIO1000 is food safe and has passed the modified STURM test, which is OECO 301B approved, and achieved 67.54% of THCO (at 10 mg C/L) and 31.73% of THCO (at 20 mg C/L) within the 28 days test period. Additionally, BIO1000 (a 50% dilution of BIO1000 with water) has passed the EPA/600/4-201027 USEPA EMSL protocol for aquatic toxicology using Pimeohales promelas.

Solvents Friendly

BIO1000 may be mixed with alkalis, certain types of salts, acids and petroleum solvents for jobs that may requirement special applications.

Unique cleaning action

BIO1000 is not a soap, detergent, or petroleum solvent. It is a homogenous blend of colloids, sequesterants and hyper-wetting agents that become super active when processed together. The cleaning action is unique and can be similarly related to the reaction of the atom in an atomic explosion, where the continuous random movements of the atoms taking place in the products that have been penetrated by BIO1000 actually lifts, separates, and holds in separation the oil, greases, dirt's, soil, etc.

Since the colloids simply penetrate into solids and stir things up, their design is like no other cleaner and will continue to work as long as there is moisture present. Although colloids work equally well in fresh or salt water, water is a prime factor in their cleaning process.

Although we refer to BIO1000 as a cleaner, it is not a soap or a detergent so its use is not limited to just cleaning.

HOW BIO1000 WORKS?

BIO1000 is a colloid liquid made up of very small, insoluble, non-diffusible particles in a suspension. It uses colloidal chemistry - an advance material science technology, where renewable, food-grade ingredients are processed to formed nano-particiles (known as micelles) - to effect it cleaning properties. Micelles are colloidal ions composed of oriented arrangement of molecules.

BIO1000 is a non-ionic aqueous solution - its molecules’ electrical charge is neutral and contains water. An enlarged molecule of BIO1000 looks a bit like a human sperm where it has a large head, called the "polar head group", and tail of various shapes. These micelles are roughly spherical in shape with their head groups arranged near the surface and their tails extending into the interior.

       micelles       molecules

The heads of micelles are hydrophilic (‘love-water’) whilst the tails are hydrophobic (‘hate-water’). Micelles are hyperactive when combined with water. These micelles’ tails attract & breakdown carbon molecules. Once attached, micelles hold the carbon molecules in suspension thus preventing them from reforming and making them soluble.

It is widely known that surfactant molecules formed into micelles are amazingly good scavengers of organic solutes. When BIO100 is added to an aqueous stream containing typical pollutants; approximately 99.05 % of the organic solute will be solubilized by the micelles.
